For Labor Day weekend this year, we took the girls down to Oxnard for some sailing on my parents' Bristol 24 sailboat. It was Kate's first time out on the water, and a wonderful way to make family memories! We got a hotel room right at the marina, and while Daddy, Mommy, and Kate slept in comfortable beds, Tess stayed overnight on the boat with Grandma and Grandpa. I was SO thrilled for her to have this experience, as it reminded me of my many childhood memories and adventures on our family's sailboat.
The day after sailing we took the girls to the beach in Oxnard. It was GORGEOUS! The tide was so strong, though, that it made us really nervous to let the girls go in the water. We all survived, even if a bit unprepared! I got some great photos of the girls at play.
