San Diego Holiday

Over the 4th of July weekend we traveled to San Diego to visit our dear friends Brian & Colette Lord. Isn't it great to have friends who live in fun cities? (Pior to San Diego, they lived in San Francisco!)

We had a great time, eating out...visiting the San Diego Zoo on Saturday... eating out... playing ping-pong in the backyard... relaxing... reading... watching movies... more eating out... more relaxing... The weather was gorgeous -- we couldn't have asked for better!

Brian and Chad have been friends since the first grade. Brian is from Clovis, and met Colette (from San Diego) at UCSB. Actually, Chad met her first when they both worked in food services! Brian works as a research scientist for Johnson & Johnson, and Colette is a psychologist, currently working as the director for a clinic in downtown San Diego. Last year they bought a home and did an extensive remodeling project. It was great to finally see their new place!

PrideStaff Annual Conference

I just returned from this year's PrideStaff Annual Conference ("PAC") in San Diego. Each year we have the meeting in a different city and franchise owners, managers, sales & operations staff from around the country come together to celebrate accomplishments and gear up for another year! I had a good time seeing my PrideStaff friends from other cities! We heard great speakers and took in some FUN San Diego nightlife in the famous Gaslamp District. The meeting always culminates with the Awards Banquet, where top-performing offices and individuals are honored for their achievements and PrideStaff associates show off their formal best. Next year is Nashville.... better dust off those cowboy boots!
