As many of you know, I recently traveled to Nashville (Feb. 19-22) for the PrideStaff Annual Conference (we call it "PAC"). This is the annual meeting where representatives from most of our offices around the country join up for group sessions with motivational speakers, strategic planning, and our awards banquet honoring top performing individuals and offices.Nashville was COLD! Who knew it could be in the 30's without snow.... Thankfully we didn't have to go outdoors much! We stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Resort, which was like a small city:
Centrally located and close to everything, Gaylord Opryland offers more than any other Nashville hotel—indeed, more than any hotel in the Southeast—when it comes to meetings and conventions. You'll be amazed at the hotel's nine acres of indoor gardens, cascading waterfalls and an indoor river with its own Delta flatboat. Within this lush landscape, you'll discover fine dining casual restaurants, unique shopping experiences, and a 20,000-square-foot resort spa and fitness center. And for late-night excitement, check out our latest entertainment adventure, Fuse Nightclub.
Our featured guest speaker for the event was the always-inspirational Danny Cahill, who's probably the most coveted in our industry for motivation and tips on successful staffing/recruiting. I did manage to get to downtown Nashville briefly to check out the nightlife.... lots of beer and rednecks and cover bands. It was too cold to really enjoy! But indoors, I had a good time connecting with my PrideStaff friends from around the country. Lots of PrideStaffers are calling this the best PAC ever, and I have to agree! It's an honor to be chosen to attend -- not everyone from Home Office gets to go, generally just long-term employees and department heads (I am both!).
Unfortunately I came down with a nasty flu bug on the way home....it's been a week an half and I am still trying to shake it. Thankfully we are in town this weekend with no major plans, so I can lay low and finish my convalescence!
