Little Miss Tess is growing, growing, growing! On March 20th she turned 7 months old and it seems like the last month has been full of the most dramatic development yet. And with each change and new milestone she just gets cuter and sweeter!
What she's doing now:
--Eating lots! Recently added to the menu were berries, mangoes, potatoes, zucchini, and avocado. She also loves the little baby puffs, which she can't quite get into her mouth with accuracy (about 1 in 5 makes it in, I think), and so I find them hours later in the most random places.
--Holding her own bottle! She doesn't do it ALL the time but now and then it's a great way to keep her occupied if Mommy's got to do something.
--Dropping anything she can! And then leaning over her chair to look at it. Sir Isaac Newton may have discovered gravity ages ago, but Tess still is conducting her own experiments daily.
--Sitting up! She's doing it for longer periods of time and is pretty sturdy. She can't yet pull herself up from laying down to sitting but I'm sure that's coming.
--Rolling and scooting! No "official" crawling yet, but this girl knows how to get where she wants to go. Where there's a will, there's a way!
--Waving! If you see Tess with her arm extended and flopping around, you can take it as a special hello intended just for you.
--Peekaboo! Give this girl a burp cloth and start a game of peekaboo, and you've got a good 30 minutes of entertainment and giggles. Not only does she know how to uncover her face, she likes to cover it up again....when she hears "Where's Tess?!" she pulls the cloth away for an excited "There she is!!!!"
--Grabbing! This probably isn't news to anyone who's had an infant, but she will attempt to put ANYTHING in her mouth. Jewelry (of course), the cat, a giant package of toilet paper (that was our trip to Target this week)....
Everyone who meets Tess and spends any amount of time with her just raves about what a good, sweet, happy baby she is. We are so blessed! Here are a few pics of our little girl....the monthly photo shoots are getting a little more challenging but this is clearly offset by her increasing cuteness. 8 months, here we come!

| Not-so-rare footage of our girl squirming out of her seat and having so much fun playing with non-toys (like her hairbush). I couldn't resist sharing! |
